We have always been interested in Country Victorian decor but after
reading countless magazines and books we did not know where to begin. It all started in February 1999. Jim and I attended
our first auction and we were hooked! This would be our venue to begin a collection while finding treasures for others. We
have dreamed of owning our own store, but practicality would not allow it so we turned to the Internet.
We began selling the treasures we found in local auctions and
estates internationally on eBay. With the positive US exchange rate, we could offer very good deals while still earning
enough to add to our collection. We would spend our evenings buying treasures at auctions and before we knew it we had quite
the collection. We have made our buying mistakes, but each one has been very instructional. We learned to overcome "auction
fever" and buy more carefully, resulting in higher quality items for our customers.

Jim still works a normal day job. However, this business has offered me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of
staying home and doing something that I enjoy. It also has the clear advantage of allowing me to spend my days with our
daughter (Chloe) and son (Nicolas).
We have just completed our 8th year in this business, and in that time we have
worked hard to develop special knowledge and expertise in many of the product categories
you will find in our online store. Whenever we are not certain of the authenticity or origin
of an item, we try our best to research it. Antiques and collectibles are such huge areas
of interest that it is impossible to know everything about everything. There is something
new to learn each day.
In summary, you can count on
us to offer just the right piece for your collection or home. Come on in and get to know
us!
Thanks for stopping in!
