This is a beautiful "Coalport" bone china figurine. The
Coalport factory was founded in 1795 by John Rose at Colebrookdale in Shropshire,
England and some early works are sometimes stamped 'Colebrookdale Porcelain'. Coalport's
glazed bone china proved very successful. By the 1830s, Coalport was one of the leading
potteries of England and has remained a household name ever since.
This figurine is entitled "Bewitching" and is from the "Ladies
of Fashion" series. She is dressed in a lovely, pink dress accented by
rosettes along the front.
This figurine measures 8 ½" tall and is in mint condition with no chips,
cracks, crazing or restorations.
