This is a beautiful Hummel figurine entitled "School
Girl " (mold #81) by Goebel of Germany. It features a young girl walking to
school. It was first modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1937.
There are 2 figurines available with different trademarks and different
sizes.
The first figurine is mold #81 2/0 and it measures 4 ½" tall. It
has the third trademark (stylized bee - shown above), dating the piece to between
1960-1972. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.
This figurine may be purchased for USD $225 or CDN $290 inclusive.
The second figurine is mold #81 2/0 and it measures 4 ¾" tall. It
has an earlier third period trademark (stylized bee - shown below), dating the piece
to between 1957-1960. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or
restorations. This figurine may be purchased for USD $250 or CDN $325 inclusive.
