This is a beautiful Hummel figurine entitled "Wayside
Harmony" (mold #111) by Goebel of Germany. It features a young boy sitting
on a fence talking to a bird. It was first modeled by master sculptor Reinhold
Unger in 1938.
This figurine is mold #111 3/0 and it measures 4" tall. It has an
earlier third period trademark (stylized bee - shown above), dating the piece to between
1960-1963. It is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
