Mother's Helper (#133)


This is a beautiful Hummel figurine entitled "Mother's Helper" (mold #133) by Goebel of Germany. It measures 4 ¾" tall and features a young girl darning a sock with a black cat at her feet. It was first modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1939.

This figurine has the fifth trademark, dating the piece to between 1972-1979. The artist's initials and the number "79" are written in script on the bottom. The number represents the year (1979) when the figurine was created. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
