This is a rare and very beautiful figurine by the Royal Doulton
company of Burslem, England. This company began producing pottery and procelain in
1815.
This figurine of an elpehant with his trunk turned up is a beautiful flambe
red color. The secret glazing arts of the ancient Chinese were first revived by Royal
Doulton at the beginning of the 20th century. This figurine measures 5 ¼" x 7" x 3
½".
The mark is as shown and this figurine is in mint condition with no chips,
cracks, crazing or restorations.
